Ashley Christmas Trimmings

I used the left over ribbon and bulbs from the wreaths I made and decorated the railing.
Sometimes pictures just don't show the true color of things.
This is a new addition to the Christmas decor. You take a side rail from a crib and turn it into a Christmas card holder. One of our crafty friends at Cassandra Design made one last year and I fell in love and new I needed one. So this year I made one.
Cassandra also hung bulbs from her light fixtures and I had all these huge bulbs left over from filling glass vases. So I used the left overs to hang from our light fixtures.
It's amazing at how the simplest things make a huge impact on a room. I love Christmas decorating. Check back tomorrow I am posting pics of the Christmas Tree and My Lovely Santa Claus and our outside decor.

Christmas Wreaths

I have been wanting to make two wreaths for our french doors in the entry way for years. So finally last night I made them. I got all of the ornaments from the Salvation Army. The ribbon was from one of the many end of the season sales last year and so were the wreaths.
I LOVE them. I love the red, greens, and silver together. It is so Christmassy.

More Christmas Trimmings!

This SANTA is one of my favorite crafts. I made this out of wood with no pattern. I got the idea for SANTA's suit in my boys Debbie Mumm, Twas the night before Christmas. I fell in love with the Santa and thought I am making me one out of wood. I will post a pic of my Santa he is a a lot taller but their suits are similar.
Santa is for Sale at THe Cannery in North Ogden. This sleigh turned out so cute. My mom bought one very similar about four years ago. I always wanted to make one but never did.
I love the ice skates on them.
This is also for Sale at The Cannery in North Ogden.

Christmas Trimmings!

I cut these joy letters out of 2x8's
I then painted them and decorated them.
Here are a few items I made that are for SALE. They are all available at The CANNERY in North Ogden.
A couple years ago Jenny found these letters at the salvation army and this is what I turned them in to. I Love how they turned out.
Jenny made this Christmas card holder.

WOOL Sweater 2 Scripture Bag!

Scripture Bag is for SALE. It's available at The Cannery in North Ogden. This is my favorite scripture bag so far. I LOVE the pattern on the sweater.
This is the WOOL sweater after it is washed. Which after being washed would MAYBE fit a 4 1/2 year old little girl.
Jenny makes scripture bags out of WOOL sweaters she finds at the DI or SA. Before you make the sweater into a bag it has to be washed. So this sweater started out as a woman's 1XL.

Turquoise Mirror

THis mirror is SO PPPERTTY!
I love this color and the detail in the mirror.
(Doesn't the picture in the mirror look like a winter wonderland?)

***Update it has SOLD***
This mirror is for SALE. If interested contact Ashley at bnaclaw@msn.com
Don't mind my hand. It's complicated to take pictures of mirrors and not have yourself in them. But I did an okay job. Step 2: The mirror is painted.
Step 1: THE BEFORE
My mom found this beauty at Salvation Army. It makes us both giddy with excitement when we find cool stuff like this. Lately I have found lots of cool furnitue with this kind of detail. So keep checking back to see the ReDO's.

Candace KitCHen ChAiRS-SteP 1

These chairs were a PAIN in my BUUUTTTTTT!!! I didn't have any idea these six chairs were going to be so much work to remove the fabric. The first thing I did was started taking off the upholster tacks and the decorative trim. I found three of the chairs had no fabric under them, two had green fabric under them, and the one in this picture had this fabric. Under the trim I found HUNDREDS of staples and brads, NO NOT BRADS!!!!!

So as you can see here are the THOUSAND-HUNDRED staples on these chairs. Not only did they use staples they used brads. If you don't know what they are they are used with an air compressor and they sink beneath the surface of the wood. In order to get the brads out we had to dig them out-PAIN IN MY BBBUUUTTTTTTTT!!!!!

I forgot to take a picture before I put the wood filler in all the holes that we dug the brads out of. But here is what it looks like with the wood filler in the holes.
This is the wood filler sanded off. That took A LOT longer than originally thought. Next Step Priming the table and chairs. I will post the pictures tomorrow. Now the fun begins, YEAH!! Okay I changed how you post my post-THE DUMB computer SAID it's so much EASIER. Can you tall how much easier it was for me. I started this post at 10:30 and it's WHAT TIME know. MY computer is the BIGGEST LIAR. GOOD NIGHT!!!!!! Hopefully tomorrows post will be AALLOTT smoother.

Candace KiTCen TAbLE

Here is the table we are ReDo-Ing for Kandace. Isn't the table so beautiful look at all the detail on the legs. The legs are big, bulky, GINORMOUS (don't mind me I make up my own words all the time) they are just incredible.
It also has two leafs that can be added to the table to make it A LOT longer. Stay tuned for the afters, it will be SPECTACULAR!!!

Candace KItcHen tABle & CHaIRs

At the fall boutique a vendor asked my mom if we ReDO furniture for other people? YES, of course we do! So this is Kandace's kitchen chairs.
Kandace did not do THIS-Purple cushions to these lovely chairs. Just look at the detail, they are gorgeous chairs. Don't know why anyone would want to do THAT-Purple cushions to these beautiful chairs!! Kandace purchased these off of KSL. So the people who owned them before thought they needed to be covered. This is a close up of how they added the cushions. Initially I didn't think they would be to hard to take of the cushions!!!???!!! I will post the pics tomorrow of what I am talking about.

NOT A Little Girl!

My neighbor wanted a desk for her daughters room. She asked me if I could find a desk and chair. She wanted the desk white, because her husband had recently repainted her room in hot pink and green. I found the fabric at JoAnnes, it went so wonderfully with the colors in her room. I love this chair all the details on the legs. The desk was so fun to make. The back is an old window pain, with a mirror, dry erase board, magnet board, and two cork boards covered in fabric with ribbon.
Her daughter was so excited and really LOVED it.

Broyhill Dresser

Okay, so I am in the process of finding furniture to ReDo our(Ashley and Beanz) Master Bedroom. So after work on Monday I stopped at!!!!Can anyone guess-HHHMMM? Of course the Salvation Army and what did I stumble upon the COOLest Broyhill dresser that has amazing details and indtricate carvings. I was SO SO SO EXCITED. Couldn't contain myself-But lets go back 4 hours earlier. I'm ready to leave for work, and I beat NO one else does this but me!! I CANNOT find my purse-looked on the chair by the back door, the front seat of my car, the trunk of my car, my bedroom, and the floor by my bookcase-NOPE nowhere to be found. I call up my mom and ask her if I left it on the kitchen chair-YEP. So back to Salvation Army I HAVE NO MONEY to pay for this dresser. I BEG and BEG to have them hold it and I will come and pic it up on Tuesday. So I brought the Baby home today. All I can say is they DO NOT make dresser like they used to. It is the heavest Baby in the world. I forgot my camera-so I will take pics and everyone can see the before of the Broyhill dresser. I am so Excited to ReDo the Master Bedroom. YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!..))
