Kitchen Table & Chairs ReDO

I love how this turned out. I have always loved black and maroon together.

I love the legs on the kitchen table, they remind me of bamboo! I like how all the chairs have the same bamboo front legs on them. I also like how the bamboo details is also all the way around the table at the top. This table and chairs are For SALE. Just email if you are interested. Again the bamboo looking details on the back of all the chairs as well. I Love it!!!

I added these knobs from Hobby Lobby, they originally had small little brass knobs. I love the maroon on the knobs. It ties in the maroon around the edge of the table and on the fabric on the seat cushions.

The fabric on the chairs is very Beautiful!!

Don't you love the before pics. I can't believe I ever like this color. The chairs were originally that yellow all over, I sanded alot off.

I even added this lovely fabric.

Rachel's Kitchen Table & Chairs ReDO

I absolutely enjoyed doing this ReDO for my friend Rachel. I love how it turned out.

Rachel only wanted a little distressing on the whole thing. So I just lightly did the edges of all the pieces. She wanted just a little distressing on the top of the kitchen table and the long stools. I love the contrast from her Dark Hard wood floors to the crisp white of the kitchen table and chairs.

On this piece we didn't do any stain, and it turned out perfect.

I love the chairs lines and the high backs on them.

So pretty, isn't she!!

The before pics are hard because it was a little dark and the flash was not co-operating!!!!

Rachel didn't like how the table and chairs matched her dark hard wood floors-exactly!! So she choose to paint them white.

I loved ReDo-ing these pieces for Rachel. I love how you can start out with on thing and just buy painting it how much it changes the look of everything.

Candace's Kitchen Table & Chairs

Thus far, this is my most memorable ReDo. I was contacted by a friend from a Scraps of Simplicity boutique that we do together about ReDO-ing a kitchen table and chairs for her cousin. After emailing back and forth Candace delivered the table and chairs. You have to see the before pics of the chairs you will DIE! To see the before go to labels and click on Chairs and Table.

It was definitely a learning experience and I LOVED every moment of this ReDO! The details are endless on this kitchen table and chairs. Look at how BEAUTiful this chairs is. The carving in the back rests. The DETAILS!!!

I absolutely am in LOVE with how this turned out. I know I say that a lot! But the pictures don't do this piece justice. It is the most beautiful piece ever.

These chairs were a PAIN in my BUUUTTTTTT!!! I didn't have any idea these six chairs were going to be so much work to remove the fabric. The first thing I did was started taking off the upholster tacks and the decorative trim. I found three of the chairs had no fabric under them, two had green fabric under them, and the one in this picture had this fabric. Under the trim I found HUNDREDS of staples and brads, NO NOT BRADS!!!!!

So as you can see here are the THOUSAND-HUNDRED staples on these chairs. Not only did they use staples they used brads. If you don't know what they are they are used with an air compressor and they sink beneath the surface of the wood. In order to get the brads out we had to dig them out-PAIN IN MY BBBUUUTTTTTTTT!!!!!

I forgot to take a picture before I put the wood filler in all the holes that we dug the brads out of. But here is what it looks like with the wood filler in the holes.

This is the wood filler sanded off. That took A LOT longer than originally thought. Next Step Priming the table and chairs. I will post the pictures tomorrow. Now the fun begins, YEAH!! Okay I changed how you post my post-THE DUMB computer SAID it's so much EASIER. Can you tall how much easier it was for me. I started this post at 10:30 and it's WHAT TIME know. MY computer is the BIGGEST LIAR. GOOD NIGHT!!!!!! Hopefully tomorrows post will be AALLOTT smoother.

Here is the table we are ReDo-Ing for Kandace. Isn't the table so beautiful look at all the detail on the legs. The legs are big, bulky, GINORMOUS (don't mind me I make up my own words all the time) they are just incredible.

It also has two leafs that can be added to the table to make it A LOT longer. Stay tuned for the afters, it will be SPECTACULAR!!!

At the fall boutique a vendor asked my mom if we ReDO furniture for other people? YES, of course we do! So this is Kandace's kitchen chairs.

Kandace did not do THIS-Purple cushions to these lovely chairs. Just look at the detail, they are gorgeous chairs. Don't know why anyone would want to do THAT-Purple cushions to these beautiful chairs!! Kandace purchased these off of KSL. So the people who owned them before thought they needed to be covered. This is a close up of how they added the cushions. Initially I didn't think they would be to hard to take of the cushions!!!???!!! I will post the pics tomorrow of what I am talking about.
