RETRO STYLE BUFFET

I absolutely loved how this turned out.
The natural wood grain was beautiful on this piece.
I did not want to cover it up by painting it 100%.
So I worked my magic.
This piece was headed for the dumpster at Salvation Army because the door on the right was broken off. Jenny snatched it right up before it had a dismal fate.
A couple of the knobs were broken off.
So she got all new ones, but yet they are not all the same.
I painted the drawers white, and stenciled it in a sea foam green.
I also painted the bottom in sea foam green.
This is where I could not paint over the beautiful grain 100%.
So why not add STRIPES???
I am so in love with this piece. Defiantly a one of a kind.
The pictures do not do this piece justice.
The picture is the wood in original form-no stains just sanded down
This is stained in a dark walnut, you can kinda see the grain in the wood.
Isn't it just beautiful??

This needed something, just to plain and boring.
I added bead board to the back of the cuby and trim around the edge to give it a finished look.

Once the dark walnut stain was added, it made the bead board pop.

Chevron Tall Endtable

I choose Turquoise for this endtable. Because who doesn't LOVE this color?
I added new glass knobs and painted the swirl design behind the knob.
I hand painted the chevron print on top of the table.
I love the legs on this table, how long they are.
A close up of the chevron design.
 and the Before pic....
Amazing what a little paint and TLC can do...

Chevron Bench

jENNY got this at the Salvation Army for FREE!!!!!
Can you believe some of the things people will throw away!
They were going to throw it away because it was damaged.
But with a little TLC and Gorilla glue Jenny got her back in good condition.
I love this color of turquoise, it's called Lagoon.
Love Chevron too, so we put my two loves together.
If I don't say so myself I like these two loves together.
I also love the detail in this bench.
I love the legs and the back of the bench. The wood work is amazing.
Another item that was for the Scraps of Simplicity.

Damask Entry Table

This is the before pic

I like the long and lean legs on this entry table.

This is a very pretty color. I wanted to add a little something extra.
So I added the damask on the top.

This piece also sold at the Scraps of Simplicity Boutique.

Lagoon Bench-SOLD

So Rustoleum spray paint came out with a new color called Lagoon. I absolutely love it. It's so pretty. This color with this black and white fabric is BEAUtiful. Like I've always said you can put black & white with any color and it looks great. This Bench/Toy Bench is FOR SALE.
I used Jacobbean min wax stain on this piece. I added these wood decals to cover the hideousness beneath. Another flower pillow made out of a sweater. Thanks to my friend Rachel, she bought a similar flower pillow at a boutique. Jenny borrowed it and duplicated it.
This bench is also a toy holder. The seat lifts up for storage underneath the seat.
Don't you just love the Heart cut outs on this bench-IICCKKYYY!!!

The COLOR is Aqua

Okay I'm a little forget me Nelly, because I thought I had pics of it painted but not stained. But NOPE, NADA, ZERO, ZILCH(Everyone is probably getting the point so I will stop). I hate it when I do this.
The color is from Rustoleum as well in AQUA Baby, I mean the color is just Aqua and I added the BABY. I also used the glaze on this piece and I LIKE, too I Love the details in this piece and the other piece as well. I was just thinking how crazy it is that this was IN in the 50, 60, 70 and it's COMM-IN BACK. I LOVE IT. If you are interest in this piece it is FOR SALE just email me.

Don't mind my hand. It's complicated to take pictures of mirrors and not have yourself in them. But I did an okay job. Step 2: The mirror is painted.
Step 1: THE BEFORE
My mom found this beauty at Salvation Army. It makes us both giddy with excitement when we find cool stuff like this. Lately I have found lots of cool furnitue with this kind of detail. So keep checking back to see the ReDO's.

Chair-N-Side Table Thing a BOB!-SOLD

So I am posting all this furniture that is for sale. I ask my husband what would this be called and his comment was, UGLY!! SO RUDE!! Husbands just don't understand going to the DI and SA to find cool old furniture to ReDo and Sale or sometimes even keep. Back to the Chair-N-Side Table Thing a Bob. I don't know its official name, so this is what I named it.
This picture shows the true color of the chair. The inspiration for this color was of course from the fabric. I Love how this chair and how it turned out. This is what the fabric looks like. I used Valspar Flat Cool Jade Spray paint on the Chair-N-Side Table and the Magazine Rack I used Rust-Oleum Espresso Spray Paint. These items are for Sale if interested contact Ashley at bnaclaw@msn.com
