Suitcase to End Table!

I copied this cute idea from a fellow blogger Angie. She made one about a year or so ago and I absolutley fell in LOVE. So I found this cute blue suitcase at the DI aka Deseret Industries and I instantly knew what I was going to do with it.

This suitcase was $4.00!  I bought four legs from Lowes and spray painted them white, distressed them, and stained them. Drilled holes through the bottom of the suitcase. I always forgot to take pictures of all the process because I just get to excited. Like a little kid in a candy shop!

But here is what she looks like all finished. I think it's funny that the suitcase in the pictures with no legs looks like a totally different color than with legs!! I will blame it on the lighting-yeah it's the lightings fault::)))

Distressed End Table

Free Tri Fold Table

My friend Jenny was going to take this to the DI and she knows that I like to make treasures out of trash::))

When she dropped it off I fell in love with it.

I loved how it folded down and how it was originally green and then it was painted white.

We have a end table that is green underneath and painted white over the top.

So I figured we will just distress the crap out of it.

So this is what we came up with.

and I am loving it.

I seriously love how it folds down to a small end table that can go behind a couch or in an entry way::))

Then it can fold out to a table for parties or get togethers.

I added the flower stencil to give it something extra.

The flowers are green to bring out the green in the distressing.

I am so loving this table.

I used two different greens to make the flowers.

Door turned Bed::))

I bought this door over a year ago for $80.00. I absolutely fell in love with this door at first sight. 

I knew I wanted it to be a head board!  I had alot of ideas to make it a bed.

I conversed with my hubby and this is what we came up with.

We bought 6 X 6 posts to mount the door too.

We also bought crown molding to give it dimension and more depth.

The bed is 6 foot 4 inches tall.

I even wanted it taller but the hubbs wouldn't go for it

It turned out 1000 times better than I expected.

Love the hubs for building it for me.

I wanted the bed white to brighten up our room.

 I also needed something a little neutral because our dressers & night stands are green.

This is our bed with our bedding. I am in love with this bedding. I love all the colors in it.

Matches our dressers perfect. It's nice to not be sleeping on the floor anymore.

The bottom of the bed are drawers from a my water bed from when I was in high school.

Glad me mom hoarded them for so long they are perfect with the bed.

FINALLY::)) Master Bedroom Dresser!!!!

I have had this dresser for over 2 years and I feel in love with it at first sight.

Had to have it, wasn't quit sure where it would go, but I knew I was not leaving the store with out it!

I got it for only $35.00!

I wanted the dresser to be taller, so I searched Lowes and Home Depot- no luck::))

I began my search on line &  finally found ones I liked.

I LOVE how something so simple can make such  drastic difference.

My husband loves green. So this is the color we came up with.

I got the vintage glass knobs from ebay. I was very lucky that one seller had enough knobs

for the dresser and my two night stands.

I also painted the original  hardware in oil rubbed bronze.

I love these tear drop pulleys. Painted them oil rubbed bronze as well.

Damask Entry Table

I like the long and lean legs on this entry table.

This is a very pretty color. I wanted to add a little something extra.

So I added the damask on the top.

Checkers Anyone

I love this set-Jenny thought this one up. It all started with the checkers game box.

Then she found the stand and she combined them to make a standing game board.

Then she found the chairs that were the perfect height to sit and play checkers.

It turned out really so cute and fun.

It's just to bad that I have NO idea how to play checkers!!!

Love the red and blue spindles on the back of the chairs to tie in all the colors on the checkers board.
