Purple Chair & Stripped End Table

When I saw this chair I had to have it. It's one of a kind and I LOVED it.
What potential it has. I new I wanted to paint this chair purple.
I went out to search for fabric to match. JoAnnes-NO luck, Hobby Lobby-NO luck, Hancocks-NO luck.
So I came to the trusty world wide web. Fabrics.com. I found what I was looking for.
I fell in love with this fabric and it matches perfectly. I just wanted a end table to match.
So I made this one!
Again with the stripes.... I may be a little obsessed!!!!
I love these knobs-the flowers match the flowers in the fabric and it also matched the flower on the back of the chair in the center.
Unfortunately these pictures do not do the color on these pieces justice-at all.
But I still LOVE THEM. Want to keep them, but unfortunately I do not have enough room
in my house.
These pieces are FOR SALE at The Cannery Center in North Ogden.

Boys & Girls Vintage Desks

I love these old desks. So cute and fun for the little ones
The top is chalkboard. I didn't take before pics.
I wanted to paint on for a little boy. So I choose blue, gray, and white.
I am in love with these colors together.
And who doesn't Love STRIPES. I am obsessed with Stripes and polka dots.
I didn't want the desk to be one color. So I did it two tone.
If my boys were little I would keep this for one of them.

For the little girls I choose Pink and Turquoise.
I also love these colors together.
It seemed kind a plain with just pink and turquoise::))
So I decided to add some GIRLEE cuteness.
I added this cute lace print stencil to the desk and to the chair. I choose white because it's both feminine and manly depending on what you add it too. I am obsessed with white lately. We are currently remodeling our railing and getting a mantle....can u guess what color they are? I am also redoing our family picture wall. The picture frames are also going to be this color? You will have to check back to see.

Victorian Mirror

Okay Sorry I haven't blogged for over a month. I have been CRAZY busy.  All I can say is kudos to moms out there with five kids in sports, dance, piano, ect, ect, and ect...... I only have two kids and I think I have hectic life.....
But moving on. I am going to try my darndest to  keep this updated. This will tell you how behind on my post I am. I got this mirror the same time I painted Carries Black Pantry Door. If you go to my labels and click on black you will find that pantry door. Just don't look at the date.....
On my weekly rounds at the DI aka Deseret Industry I strolling around as usual and come across this baby in the bed sections. I looked at the Price and about screamed out loud and did a little dance. This Monsterous BEAUtiful Baby was a whopping $5.00. I know the mirror alone is more than $5.00. I was uderley SHOCKED and GIDDY.... Thought maybe they miss priced it, but with about 9 stickers on it all saying $5.00. It must be correct. I think the person with the sticker gun was a little sticker happy!
I put this mirror in my cart so fast and it took up the whole cart and then some!

I knew instantly it was going to be a Beauty. I choose to paint it different shade of green. My hubs likes green and well so do I. I call it pukish green, but with stain on it I knew it would be PURRTYY...
DRUM ROLL PLEASE..........
I put it on our plant shelf to add some light  and because I think it looks cute!
It's funny looking at this picture everything in it (except Raggedy Ashley and Raggedy Brandon who are wearing our own baby clothes) is from either the DI or SA. Can anyone say addicted!

So in these two pictures I changed something up a bit. Because I am addicted to changing things. Can anyone tell  me what it is?

Okay and I am LOVING the mirror and I am hating how the stinkin Smoke detector is no longer white but yellow. I am wondering while I type this can you spray paint the cover of smoke detectors?
I love how the stain brings out every beautiful detail. I also have a question for my fellow Redo Gals out in the world do your husband like or hate that we(and I mean you and I) Redo things?
Because mine looks at this mirror and thinks it's the most HIDEOUS thing out there..... I know right.. IDIOT......(IDIOT that I love) but IDIOT is what I think when he makes remarks like this.....
Okay it's 12:24 am and I am pooped from the many adventures.
SO Good Night and Good Day.......

Thomas Master Bedroom ReDO......

I did a custom ReDo for the Thomas's Master bedroom furniture.
I can't find the before pics of the furniture. They were a light wood color.
The handles got a ReDO as well.
I love how the dark stain brings out all the details of the furniture and the handles.
I think this piece of furniture is one my of  favorites. I love how it's rounded.
and I love the sides.
You can't tell from the pic, but this dresser is also rounded.

The posts alone on this bed are as tall as me.
Details.... Details....

Jenny's Mirror Wall

This is Jenny's Mirror wall. It turned out so stinkin CUTE.
I love all the frames.

Everyone of these frames was from the Salvation Army.
It took about 6 months probable even longer, searching for frames! Finding empty frames, and searching for frames with mirrors.
So don't get discouraged if you go in search of certain item and they don't have it! It may take a dozen trips but you will find something unique. Just give it time!
We even had a empty spot on the wall because I thought Jenny should hang a letter F with yarn wrapped around it. But after about 3 weeks Jenny found another unique small mirror.
So you can guess who won!
(the frame below that has a quaterfoil shape. It's above the oval mirror)
There are alot of mirrors. They are all different and unique in there own way.
I have two favorite mirrors.
The one behind the bird cage and the last mirror that won over the letter F with yarn.
Bright and Sunny!

Mirror Walls

So every where you turn on blogs you see Mirror walls!
I love mirrors and how they brighten up a room.
So my mom and I both wanted mirror walls
These are the frames my mom choose.
She painted all her mirrors Rustoleum 2X Spray Paint in Summer Squash.
Then stained them in Minwax Jacob Bean
This is a trick my good friend Martha taught me. Trace all your frames/mirrors on a piece of paper, then place them on the wall in which ever order you choose.
This is so much easier when it comes to hanging the mirrors/frames as well.
This is the wall I choose to do my mirrors on.
I painted stripes to add some character to the wall first.
Come back and check out the finished products for our mirror walls.

Chevron Bench

jENNY got this at the Salvation Army for FREE!!!!!
Can you believe some of the things people will throw away!
They were going to throw it away because it was damaged.
But with a little TLC and Gorilla glue Jenny got her back in good condition.
I love this color of turquoise, it's called Lagoon.
Love Chevron too, so we put my two loves together.
If I don't say so myself I like these two loves together.
I also love the detail in this bench.
I love the legs and the back of the bench. The wood work is amazing.
Another item that was for the Scraps of Simplicity.
THe bench SOLD
