Chevron Tall Endtable

I choose Turquoise for this endtable. Because who doesn't LOVE this color?
I added new glass knobs and painted the swirl design behind the knob.
I hand painted the chevron print on top of the table.
I love the legs on this table, how long they are.
A close up of the chevron design.
 and the Before pic....
Amazing what a little paint and TLC can do...

Quaterfoil Highback CHair and Endtable

Love this color combo.
It could be for a girls bedroom or dorm room.
I love that it could be in someones living room.

Jenny sewed the seat cover for this chair. She did the piping in black to give it a pop, I love it.
She even lined up the pattern. Which is not easy at all. But she is good at what she does.
Even though she puts a fight to do it, it always turns out beautiful in the end.
I love the quarterfoil design in the back of the chair.
 It matches the fabric beautifully.
This is a close up of Jenny's Beautiful sewing.
This End table turned out better that I imagined.
The colors all together just pull the colors from the chair and  are perfect together.
Jenny got these knobs a long time ago of another piece of furniture.
They are vintage and are perfect for this project.
These pieces of wood pull in the back of the chair.
Both having the quarterfoil pattern.
I love how all these cool designs from the 60's and 70's are making a comeback.
I am loving the comeback.
So BEAUtiful. Like I always say, I wish I could keep this for my house.
But not enough room and my hubs would kill me.
This is a before of the end table.
Could not find a before of the chair...oops..

Wicker Chair and Stripped End Table

The fabric was the inspiration for the color I choose for the chair and end table.
I got the Fabric at JoAnnes in the remnant pile. It's the best place to buy fabric. You get the expensive fabric for half the cost because its a remnant piece.
Every time I am in a Fabric store I always stop at the remnant table.
This is the first time we have redone a reupholster chair like this.
Jenny did a FANTASTIC job with this. She sewed all of it.
It had a lot of piping.
She watched a video that I found on Pinterest that should her how to do the double piping for this chair.
Love the colors in this fabric. It's really prettty.
We will have to try another reupholster project in the future.
So I did the stripes a little different.
But still stripped.
My hubbs parents were cleaning out the basement and gave this end table to me.
I love when someone drops off a piece to us and transforming it into something new.
I used the original hardware. Just steel wooled them so I could paint them vintage white.

Here is the before pic of the chair and my best kitty Tiney
Before I primed and painted, Jenny taped off the chair.
Luckily the jut and springs were all in great shape. The batting was too.

Purple Chair & Stripped End Table

When I saw this chair I had to have it. It's one of a kind and I LOVED it.
What potential it has. I new I wanted to paint this chair purple.
I went out to search for fabric to match. JoAnnes-NO luck, Hobby Lobby-NO luck, Hancocks-NO luck.
So I came to the trusty world wide web. Fabrics.com. I found what I was looking for.
I fell in love with this fabric and it matches perfectly. I just wanted a end table to match.
So I made this one!
Again with the stripes.... I may be a little obsessed!!!!
I love these knobs-the flowers match the flowers in the fabric and it also matched the flower on the back of the chair in the center.
Unfortunately these pictures do not do the color on these pieces justice-at all.
But I still LOVE THEM. Want to keep them, but unfortunately I do not have enough room
in my house.
These pieces are FOR SALE at The Cannery Center in North Ogden.

Boys & Girls Vintage Desks

I love these old desks. So cute and fun for the little ones
The top is chalkboard. I didn't take before pics.
I wanted to paint on for a little boy. So I choose blue, gray, and white.
I am in love with these colors together.
And who doesn't Love STRIPES. I am obsessed with Stripes and polka dots.
I didn't want the desk to be one color. So I did it two tone.
If my boys were little I would keep this for one of them.

For the little girls I choose Pink and Turquoise.
I also love these colors together.
It seemed kind a plain with just pink and turquoise::))
So I decided to add some GIRLEE cuteness.
I added this cute lace print stencil to the desk and to the chair. I choose white because it's both feminine and manly depending on what you add it too. I am obsessed with white lately. We are currently remodeling our railing and getting a mantle....can u guess what color they are? I am also redoing our family picture wall. The picture frames are also going to be this color? You will have to check back to see.

Victorian Mirror

Okay Sorry I haven't blogged for over a month. I have been CRAZY busy.  All I can say is kudos to moms out there with five kids in sports, dance, piano, ect, ect, and ect...... I only have two kids and I think I have hectic life.....
But moving on. I am going to try my darndest to  keep this updated. This will tell you how behind on my post I am. I got this mirror the same time I painted Carries Black Pantry Door. If you go to my labels and click on black you will find that pantry door. Just don't look at the date.....
On my weekly rounds at the DI aka Deseret Industry I strolling around as usual and come across this baby in the bed sections. I looked at the Price and about screamed out loud and did a little dance. This Monsterous BEAUtiful Baby was a whopping $5.00. I know the mirror alone is more than $5.00. I was uderley SHOCKED and GIDDY.... Thought maybe they miss priced it, but with about 9 stickers on it all saying $5.00. It must be correct. I think the person with the sticker gun was a little sticker happy!
I put this mirror in my cart so fast and it took up the whole cart and then some!

I knew instantly it was going to be a Beauty. I choose to paint it different shade of green. My hubs likes green and well so do I. I call it pukish green, but with stain on it I knew it would be PURRTYY...
DRUM ROLL PLEASE..........
I put it on our plant shelf to add some light  and because I think it looks cute!
It's funny looking at this picture everything in it (except Raggedy Ashley and Raggedy Brandon who are wearing our own baby clothes) is from either the DI or SA. Can anyone say addicted!

So in these two pictures I changed something up a bit. Because I am addicted to changing things. Can anyone tell  me what it is?

Okay and I am LOVING the mirror and I am hating how the stinkin Smoke detector is no longer white but yellow. I am wondering while I type this can you spray paint the cover of smoke detectors?
I love how the stain brings out every beautiful detail. I also have a question for my fellow Redo Gals out in the world do your husband like or hate that we(and I mean you and I) Redo things?
Because mine looks at this mirror and thinks it's the most HIDEOUS thing out there..... I know right.. IDIOT......(IDIOT that I love) but IDIOT is what I think when he makes remarks like this.....
Okay it's 12:24 am and I am pooped from the many adventures.
SO Good Night and Good Day.......
Ashley
